Dear Fellow Teachers:
Are you looking for fresh ideas for math tutorial sessions, student math activities, enrichment activities, summer school, or for “Back To School Night”? Why not share a fun math game or describe an activity from one of the Adventures with Mathematics activity books? This is a series of 13 “grade level” books (K-8, Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, and Probability and Statistics) being written, tested and published with teams of teachers, students and other mathematics educators across Michigan. Ten books have been published, with the remaining three in development to be released in 2012. All books have been aligned to the Common Core State Standards for Mathematics (CCSS-M).
You may order on-line at our Store, via phone through calling the MCTM office, or you may download an order form. Select an individual book title to view the Table of Contents, Standards Alignment, and Sample Activities.

When parents ask for ways to help their students, recommend that they purchase and use one of these books. If a student is weak in a given area, you can use the alignment chart to suggest specific activities. If a student would benefit from skill practice or experiences to develop concepts, activities and problems are there.
A flier that describes the books and availability is available below. You may print off copies and distribute to your parents and/or colleagues. You can also use the following order form, Adventures with Mathematics Order Form, or order online at www.mictm.org/index.php/shop.
